This piece is a self portrait made completely out of gum balls. It stands at 11 by 8 feet and contains 9,840 green and purple gum balls. The concept of this project and what inspired me was taking an everyday material and turning it in to a art medium and further more in to an art piece. The picture not only shows what I look like, but in a deeper sense the popping colors and gargantuan size of the piece represents my personality. The reason I used gum balls was to show I’m different. My work differs from other artists because of the unusual medium I choose to use throughout all of my pieces.  I consider myself an unconventional artist.
